I am listening.

“Be the change you wish to see in the world.”

Change I wish to see:
1. More women in positions of leadership.
2. More young people in positions of leadership.

It has been almost two months since I was appointed to City Council here in Corry as the director of parks and public properties. It might not seem like a lot, a little town in Northwest Pa of just over 6,000 people. A town I never heard of prior to moving here almost 7 years ago. But it is.

I have learned so much in these two months and I know I still have a long way to go to best serve this community.

The most obvious thing that has been cemented into me during these months is that holding a public office requires you to think first of the people you serve. You cannot do the job correctly if your people are not your top priority. They might not always understand the decisions you make, they might not always agree with you, but their opinion and their voices must always be heard.

That’s why it is so important to vote.

Opp! There it is! You had to know that line was coming from a woman like me, in times like these, weeks away from Election Day.🙃

But it is SO important to vote. Not only in this election, but every single one that comes after it, especially for the local candidates who will be serving you and impacting your daily lives the most.

Your voice deserves to be heard...

Thank you, Corry, for trusting me with this position. I am eager for the future we are building here. It is an honor to serve alongside this forward-thinking team for this beautiful community that, very obviously, cares about and for each other.

...and I am listening.🧡
