Future of Work in Erie County

Filled with so much gratitude for this experience.

I really didn’t grasp the magnitude of what I was signing up for when applying to be a member of the 2021-2022 Jefferson Civic Leadership Academy last summer. What an incredible journey this has been.

Our cohort clicked so quickly and worked together seamlessly on such a broad topic and I’m beyond proud of each of us. Countless hours over the last several months and 70 pages later, we are giving our communities such a well-researched guideline of The Future of Work in Erie County.

Beyond the work, I’m so very thankful for the connections. Visiting and learning about what each community in the County is doing, experiencing our first Global Summit, and traveling to Harrisburg to meet and have truly impactful conversations with our elected officials with this cohort are all memories I will cherish forever.

I am especially grateful to have graduated last night with Brody and Sara, two of my favorites from Corry. We are the first ever JCLA grads from Corry and this experience would not have been the same without them. What an honor it has been to watch both of them grow into even better community leaders through this unforgettable journey.
