History in Erie County

Before I ever decided to run for this office, a dear friend of mine (who has also run as a young democrat woman in a very red district) told me, “No matter the election outcome, it will be worth it because at least one little girl will have watched you and learned, she can do it too.”

I have taken those words to heart more than any other piece of advice I’ve been given. And I’ve done this for her. Whoever that “her” may be.

Growing up I never got to see a woman run for office. But here in Erie County, I have been so fortunate to be surrounded by women who have run. Whether they won or lost their races, in some way SO MANY of them, regardless of political party, have shown up for me during this campaign.

Knowing that I am mere days away from potentially making history is not lost on me.

I am so grateful that our final fundraising event for our historical campaign is being hosted by women of Erie County who have run and won.

If you are able to join us in person, I encourage you to do so. (What a celebration it will be!) If you are not, please consider making a donation for your girl who you know has put in the work to win this thing and show all those little girls what they are truly capable of.💪🏼💙
